Think of Music and the act of playing the Piano like a Language that you speak, write and read (e.g. the English Language).

​The letters of the English Alphabets (A to Z) are used to create words that are separated by spaces. Similarly, in Music, the 12 Musical Notes that we have are used to create Major and Minor Scales which contain notes that are separated by Musical Intervals (i.e. the distance between one Musical Note and another Musical Note in terms of Pitch).

​The words of the English Language, spaces and at times punctuations are used to create titles, sub-titles, sentences and paragraphs. Similarly, in Music, Musical Notes, Musical Intervals and at times Major & Minor Scales are used to create Song Intros and Outros, Chords, Melodies and Musical Fills.

​In the English Language, paragraphs can be used to create the Chapter of a Book. Similarly, in Music, Chords can be used to create a Chord Progression.

​In the English Language, 1 Chapter or multiple Chapters can be used to create a Book. Similarly, in Music, 1 Chord Progression or multiple Chord Progressions can be used to create a Song.
